10,000 tons of steel at two new coal units
The Cross Generating Station is a 2,390-megawatt coal-fired power station owned and operated by Santee Cooper in Cross, South Carolina.

PBI worked with the state-owned utility on the erection of coal silos and turbine structures for Units 3 and 4 at the facility. For each unit, we set all major process equipment, including six coal silos, 100-ton deaerator tanks, overhead cranes, retrofitted tripper towers, and five heaters.

The two units combined included more than 10,000 tons of steel.
